Alia looked at her husband, sleeping peacefully on their bed, and thought of her lover waiting downstairs. She then looked at the framed picture on the wall where her family posed happily around them at their wedding. She put back her luggage in the closet, switched her phone off and tucked herself under the blanket.
Opinion Writer - Saying it the way it is.
That one little moment made the whole difference.
ReplyDeleteNicely written..=]
It did na. Thanks :)
Deletelovely, Alia made a right choice, I would say! ;)
ReplyDeleteRight or compromised. We never know :)
DeleteHappy endings are always nice. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy for whom, we never know na :)
DeleteShe was in two minds but the framed photo clinched the matter.
ReplyDeleteA good one
Thank you KP :)
DeleteWow.. short and cute. :) Loved it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Preeti, you are very kind :)
DeleteOuch............this is what I am scared of. The thought of taking decisions while confined in the shackles of the society and then later living a life full of regrets.
ReplyDeleteThis was painful!
Finally someone understands the pain in the story. Thanks Red!
DeleteNever know who the happy ending is for right.
Agree to what Red said..Its a difficult decision,I hope its a right one at least for Alia
DeleteShe wouldn't have had her bags packed if it was right for her, right?
DeleteWhat changed her mind, the husband or the Wall frames?

Only she knows :)
DeleteSigh. The compromises women have to make. This almost broke my heart.
ReplyDeleteMine too. Sigh.
DeleteI don't know if this made me happy or sad. She chose her family, nice. But she also chose an unhappy life even when she had an option of walking away. That's bad.
ReplyDeleteSoumya, how can you manage to wrap up a whole story in less than 55 words is beyond me. Kudos to you. *hugs*
She made her choice, either way I guess.
DeleteThank you my love. *Hugs*
It is not easy to walk away. It is impossible to forget. It was a dilemma for her, which she conveniently tucked under the blanket!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree.
DeleteI see a new banner whenever I come to read something here. Experimenting ? Well, this is really very good. I esp liked the one with lots of pictures. :) :)
ReplyDeleteAs for the story. I am scared of these types of situations. Regrets. :(
Thank you dear, will try to create one with more pictures soon :)
DeleteRegrets and living in denial. Unfortunately some women choose this as a way of life.
Sigh...Silence!
ReplyDeleteSometimes we have to see the bigger picture and move on. Very well written :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Saru!
