No More Dazzle

Copyright-Madison Woods

Not so long ago, I was famous and I was the star who dazzled everywhere and everyone. People loved and worshiped me and put me on a pedestal so high that I could hardly look down at the real world. But then, wrinkles and age caught up with life and I was the forgotten actress. A crowd of plastic newbies replaced me and I was pushed to the background, without another choice. Today, I lay buried here all alone, with the whole world forgetting the fact that I was a normal human being after all and once lived among them.

This five sentence fiction is written for the topic 'Dazzle' at Lillie McFerrin Writes.

This drabble (100 word fiction) is written for Friday Fictioneers, 27th June.
