Mama Knows Best

PHOTO PROMPT © Björn Rudberg

"Ma, I told you not to pack these. I wouldn't need them there", Ray yelled at his mom.

"Son, it will be really cold. I've been there before. Just carry it, you'll need them for sure", his mother said calmly.

"Don't act like you know everything, Ma. Just let it be, will ya?"

"Ray, listen to me son".

Ignoring her, he stormed out.

A couple of days later, as he was paying an exorbitant amount to buy some knit scarfs and hats to keep himself warm in the freezing weather, he thought of his mom and shed a silent tear.

  12. Mother knows best, thought kids take a whole lot of time (and mistakes) to figure that out for themselves.
