Eva | #ThursdayTreeLove - 5

Home, Bangalore - September 2019

My apartment community has a lot of greenery around it. After living in an area which barely had any flora around, my current home feels like heaven. We have many tress and plants around the entire community that give a beautiful element of green and surrounds the blocks of concrete. We even have quite some plants at home that we tend to with a lot of care and concern. Plants, like humans, can only grow well in a happy atmosphere. They need to be nourished, nurtured and appreciated.

This tree here was almost dead at one point of time. She was all dry and had minimal leaves on her. Looked almost like a skeleton. Maybe it was the weather, maybe it was the lack of concern. Thankfully, the community also has a good gardener who comes in to tend the garden. He took it upon himself to heal her. While I'm sure many suggested that he throw her out and replace her with a healthy plant, he didn't give up. Within a few months, she stood up proud and had the brightest shade of green. She had a rebirth. It was only fair that I called her Eva.

This teaches us two things. One, everything needs a happy, positive atmosphere to thrive. Without that even the healthiest being may wither. Two, with time and the right care, almost anything can heal. What matters is that one shouldn't give up.

  1. It could be that tree (I'm not familiar with what it might be) may have been dormant. But if not, we all need love, and that tree certainly responded. I can see the love of that gardener just in how he's keeping that area around the tree.

    1. Possible. But it goes on to prove that with love anything can heal.

  3. You are right. Plants like human need love and care. So good that the community gardener took care of Eva. It's a lovely name, Soumya. I am glad you are loving your new home. Thank you for joining #ThursdayTreeLove.

  4. Love how you have taken up the cause of a young tree that was barely there. Trees, like every other living thing, needs equal love and care. Happy to see the gardener doing just that.

  6. You are right, Soumya! Plants do need tending to and a lot of love and care as well. I know my plants do! I have a feeling they know who is tending to them as well! I think its a good idea to get the gardener to do a little health-check for the plants every couple of weeks!
