Love With A View

I buried myself in the virtual world. You see, I was famous online. I was an fashion star with many followers. I kept myself busy by posting my pictures on all the social media platforms. I was addicted to selfies and my phone. One day, while driving, I took a selfie and ended up killing a pedestrian out for a walk.

Escape Route

PHOTO PROMPT © Shaktiki Sharma John asked for the kitchen duty again. This time, they agreed. Earlier, he was assigned to cleaning the prison toilets. After months of requesting, the jailer finally let him do the kitchen duty. He assumed that John was really interested in cooking. John was expected to start with grinding tonnes of flour and then work his way up to cooking. He started early everyday in a dusty room and finished his work on time. The prison authorities were impressed.

PHOTO PROMPT –  © Sandra Crook He was gone for quite a while now and I was wallowing in self-pity. My life did not seem to have any meaning now as I sat and watched the hour glass endlessly. The heart break had left my entire body and soul broken. Just as the sun rose one day, I noticed the empty half of the hour glass getting filled as the hour passed. That made me realize that my empty heart could be filled one day too. Finally, succumbing to the dose of time I got off my bed and walked ahead to start a new life.
