P - Pompous

She looked beautiful. The tight blouse highlighting her breasts and tapering down to her svelte waist. Her face shone and her lips looked ripe in red. She ignored the crowd and did not rush behind cars like the other girls. She liked to feel important, hard to get. It worked, as most of the men flocked to get a piece of her.

She took her time to make her choice, promising others the next night for a double pay. She felt like the queen as she walked towards the nearby car. Her gait was filled with pride. But she knew the truth herself.

Pompous on the outside, hurting inside.

  1. A difficult and heartbreaking profession indeed. You have to look confident even if you are burning inside. We see so many here every weekend dealing with the same struggle.

  4. I recently read this book, about a girl who was forced into the trade. Later she rose up to be the queen of the lot. Well written!

  5. a tough place to be for sure. Murder 2 is one movie which really hit me and it was then that i started feeling for the helpless women forced for this profession. more than the embarrassment, its such a risk each of them take to survive or to let some one else survive.

    1. That movie did the same to me too. Sadly more often that not the risk is worth it, as society doesn't let such people live in peace.

I have to tell you that you are sooo creative! I missed so many posts because of my on going exams and now while I'm catching up, I see such distinctiveness in your posts. And the most amazing part is that you can go from one thing to another so frequently.
    Gosh.. aren't you awesome?! :*

Just like me, say what you feel. While constructive criticism is welcome, please keep it subtle and kind. Thank you!
