I am not a puppet in any one's hands

I make my own rules and live by it

I have no patience for liars

And have zero tolerance to shit

I am not afraid to speak out

My opinions I have a right to state

I am here to make my own destiny

I'm not the one to succumb to fate

I shall love whomever I want to

A man, a woman or both together

It all depends on the course of time

If it is cut short or lasts forever

I am strong in my own way

I do not have to prove it every time

I am not a free maid to someone

Having a mind of my own is not a crime

I refuse to accept the meaningless customs

I am happy with my logic and reasoning

I am free to choose a career of my own

Be it a doctor or be it bar tending

Do not judge me by my choices

Some one's approval I do not need

I have made a wonderful life for myself

To others words I do not pay heed

I do not respect people for their age

I respect them for what they do

Listening to them is not a compulsion

They are bound to make mistakes too

I can survive all my myself

I have enough love by my side

I do not need two faced people

Different inside and on the outside

A strong woman is not a myth

Who are you to come to a conclusion

Independent, bold, sensible and powerful

A woman like me is definitely not an illusion
