Bangalore, India - July 2019 |
I'm happy to have finally jumped on to the bandwagon called #ThursdayTreeLove. Can you believe it if I say that I did not be a part of it earlier as there were barely any trees around for me to click pictures? Of course one might argue that I could have taken pictures when I travel or visit other areas where there are plenty of tress. But, that would feel contrived. For me, pictures are about an impulse. That instant of seeing something differently and assuming a meaning of your own. That's the beauty of a picture, isn't it?
I now live in an area where there are plenty of trees! Each one tells a story of its own and I think this is the right time for me to start this one. This tree stands right outside my apartment community. What you don't see in the picture is the garbage littered right at her feet. Still, she doesn't bother much about what's around her and stands out tall on her own.
Bright green against the grey rain bearing clouds. That's why I chose to call her Aurora.
**Aurora: Natural colored light in the sky.

Thursday Tree Love is a photo feature on the fabulous Parul's blog hosted on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. The next edition will be live on July 25, 2019. If you would like to play along, post a picture of a tree on your blog and link it back to her post.
Glad that you moved to a locality with trees. It's sad to know that the garden city of India would have areas without trees.
ReplyDeleteI know, right? :(
DeleteNice pic and a beautiful tree. Nature always has a story to tell.
ReplyDeleteOh you bet!
DeleteThis is beautiful, Soumya! I'm so glad to know from now on you will be posting tree pictures. Bangalore abounds in places which have plenty of trees in spite of the rapid concretisation happening everywhere! So looking forward to your tree pictures/stories in the coming weeks.

ReplyDeleteNope, Anamika. I haven't got it :(
DeleteThank you for coming back though.
I know what you mean by the picture being spontaneous. Even I often skip a week or two if I haven't found a picture in my neighbourhood.....But today I'm sharing a tree from my dad's garden... which is equally dear to me.
ReplyDeleteExactly! It needs to just click in the mind before I can click it! Trees that have a memory is so special.
DeleteWow I love your idea of naming the tree. what a powerful statement "She doesn't bother.... stands tall.. so much to learn from trees:)
